Hardware Requirements

You need three things to play VirZOOM games:

  1. A VirZOOM exercise bike or a compatible controller
  2. A PC computer, PlayStation 4 console, or Android smartphone
  3. A compatible VR headset

Compatible Controllers

The VZ Bike Controller can be used to play a number of different games, including our own collection of free exercise games, VirZOOM Arcade. Check out Games on VirZOOM for a comprehensive list.

Handheld controllers can still be used to play VirZOOM Arcade if you do not have a VZ Bike Controller, and must be used with VZ Sensor. Compatible controllers include the official Xbox 360, Xbox One, and PlayStation DualShock 4 controllers on PC/PS4, and the Samsung Gear VR controller and Google Daydream controller on smartphones.

Compatible PCs, Consoles, and Phones

PCs must be VR-ready to run VirZOOM Arcade with VZ Bike Controller or VZ Sensor. Check out the Oculus and HTC Vive websites for suggestions. Also note that if you are using VZ Sensor with PC, you must have a USB Bluetooth dongle (which is included as part of commercial sales packages).

PlayStation usage with VZ Bike Controller requires a PlayStation 4 or PlayStation 4 Pro (which work comparably well for VirZOOM Arcade), in addition to the PS VR headset and PlayStation Camera, available separately or in the PS VR Bundle that includes the optional PlayStation Move controllers.

Smartphones must be either Gear VR compatible (Samsung Galaxy S7 with Android 7, or better) or Google Daydream compatible (including Google Pixel and Samsung Galaxy S7 with Android 7, or better), and can be used with both VZ Bike Controller and VZ Sensor.

Compatible Headsets

VZ Sensor is compatible with the Oculus Rift and HTC Vive on PC, and with Samsung Gear VR with controller and Google Daydream on mobile.

VZ Bike Controller is compatible with all of the above, and also with PlayStation VR.

VR Headset Sold Separately

VirZOOM does not make or sell VR headsets. In order to use VirZOOM, you must purchase a VR headset separately.
