This page will walk you through the steps to get set up to play games with VirZOOM using your Oculus Rift and PC. To do this, install our free collection of exercise games, VirZOOM Arcade, and, optionally, register your VirZOOM device and a VirZOOM account. If you haven't already set up your VZ Bike Controller or VZ Sensor, should go do that step first before you return here.
Install VirZOOM Arcade
You can get VirZOOM Arcade from Steam, an online game service. If you don't already have Steam set up, be sure to do the following:
Go to the Steam website and click the green INSTALL button in the upper right.
Launch the Steam application you just installed and create a Steam account. (This is used to make and track purchases on Steam, not in VirZOOM games. We're going to make a separate VirZOOM account later.)
Search for VirZOOM Arcade in Steam, and click to INSTALL it.
Launch Oculus Home if you haven't yet. (See Oculus Setup for details if you don't have it installed already.)
Back in Steam, you can find VirZOOM Arcade in the "Library" section of Steam. Click PLAY to launch it, and when it asks if you want to play in SteamVR mode or Oculus VR mode, choose Oculus VR mode.
You can now play VirZOOM Arcade! Get on your bike, and put on your VR headset to get started. Whenever you play again in the future, remember to launch both Oculus Home and Steam. You can play all VirZOOM Arcade games at this point, but without registering your device, you'll only be able to play offline. Read on for instructions on how to get set up to play online.
Create an account & register your device
To play VirZOOM Arcade games online, you need to register your VirZOOM device and create a VirZOOM account. Here's how to set that up:
Launch VirZOOM Arcade from Steam.
Make note of the code on the bottom of your screen and/or in your headset.
Go to virzoom.com/register and enter your authorization code.
Follow the instructions to create a VirZOOM account.
When you return to VirZOOM Arcade, you'll find that it has automatically moved past the intro screen and you can now play games. Follow the instructions on screen to get started! And just a heads up: The games don't all unlock at once the first time you play—there's a series of tutorials to play to help you get acclimated to moving around in VR, but you only ever need to complete those once, and then you can play any games you want, as much as you want.
