Problem

While playing VirZOOM Arcade games, buttons sometimes seem to not work, or pedaling seems to stop registering, causing you to slow down or stop in the game.

Solution

You can use our bike test program on a PC – even if you normally use your VirZOOM bike with some other platform, like PlayStation 4 – to check whether your VirZOOM bike is having any problems. Please try the following:

  1. Download biketest.zip
  2. Right-click on the downloaded file and choose "Extract all," and in the folder you just created, double-click on biketest.exe
  3. Watch how the program responses when you...
    1. Pedal forwards (which should fill up the green bar on the right)
    2. Pedal backwards (which should fill up the green bar on the left)
    3. Press the triggers and buttons one by one (which should flash an icon for each button)
  4. Please also make note of how full it says your battery is, in the lower left.

If you try all of this and find that any of these actions is not registering with the program, please email us at support@virzoom.com to explain that you ran biketest.exe, and let us know which actions registered incorrectly. If you do contact us, and you are capable of recording video on your screen or with your phone, please feel free to send us the results, but don't worry if you can’t. (We can accept videos up to 20 MB, so if you have a video larger than that, you might want to host it on a site like Google Drive or Dropbox and send us a link.)

If you run through the above steps and find that biketest is registering all actions as expected, but you're still experiencing problems with unresponsive buttons or pedaling, the problem may not be with the bike hardware. Please email support@virzoom.com to let us know that you ran biketest without any issues, and let us know exactly how your problems still occur – which games it occurs (or doesn't occur in), how long into the game you need to play before the issue occurs, what VR headset you are using, and any other information that may be relevant.
