This page will walk you through the steps to get set up to play games with VirZOOM using your Google Daydream VR equipment. To do this, install our free collection of exercise games, VirZOOM Arcade, and, optionally, register your VirZOOM device and a VirZOOM account. If you haven't already set up your VZ Bike Controller or VZ Sensor, you should go do that first before you return here.

Set up Daydream for the first time

If you haven't already set up the Daydream app on your smartphone and taken steps to set up the headset and controller, check Google's instructions online. You may also need to set your phone's screen size to its maximum for VirZOOM Arcade to run as smoothly as possible.

Install VirZOOM Arcade

You can get VirZOOM Arcade from Google Play, an app that comes installed already on your Android phone:

  1. Tap the Google Play icon on your phone.

  2. Search for "VirZOOM Arcade" and select it in the list of results.

  3. Tap INSTALL.

After this point, you can launch VirZOOM Arcade by tapping on its icon on your phone screen, or by opening the Daydream app and selecting it from your Library in there. You can play all VirZOOM Arcade games at this point, but without registering your device, you'll only be able to play offline. Read on for instructions on how to get set up to play online.

Create an account & register your device

To play VirZOOM Arcade games online, you need to register your VirZOOM device and create a VirZOOM account. Here's how to set that up:

  1. Launch VirZOOM Arcade on your phone.

  2. When your phone asks for permission to access other features (like location, photo storage, and/or Bluetooth), say yes.
  3. When you see a screen prompting you to connect a bike... 
    1. If you're on VZ Bike, switch it on and start pedaling.
    2. If you're on a bike with VZ Sensor attached, start pedaling at least 90 degrees per second.
    3. If you're using a handheld controller, press the button indicated on your screen to use a controller instead of a bike.
  4. Make note of the code that appears on the bottom of your screen and/or in your headset.

  5. Go to virzoom.com/register and enter your authorization code.

  6. Follow the instructions to create a VirZOOM account.

When you return to VirZOOM Arcade, you'll find that it has automatically moved past the intro screen and you can now play games. Follow the instructions on screen to get started! And just a heads up: The games don't all unlock at once the first time you play—there's a series of tutorials to play to help you get acclimated to moving around in VR, but you only ever need to complete those once, and then you can play any games you want, as much as you want.
