Avatar Upgrades
VirZOOM Arcade includes a variety of options to customize your avatar – some for gameplay, and some purely cosmetic. You can expect more upgrades to appear on a regular basis through automatic updates.
Whenever you play a game in VirZOOM Arcade, you receive a score represented by coins, and those coins can be spent to rent avatar upgrades for one-off use. You can also purchase upgrades for permanent use on PlayStation Network or on Steam with credits you can buy.
Equipping Avatars
To equip an avatar upgrade, launch VirZOOM Arcade and lean to scroll to the "Options" menu. From here, you can choose "Avatar Upgrades," view options for each avatar, and follow the on-screen instructions to select an upgrade. Equipping an upgrade will make it appear in any games associated with that avatar. (So, for instance, equipping the Speed Racer will make you look cool no matter which race track you pick.)
Avatars remain equipped until you manually go back to the Avatar Upgrades menu and unequip them. If you run out of coins, you'll play without the avatar – but as long as you leave it equipped, the next time you have enough coins again, you'll start your next game with the avatar upgrade.
