VZ Sensor not detected

Problem

VirZOOM Arcade indicates that VZ Sensor is not detected.

Solution

First, make sure you've gone through all the steps to properly set up VZ Sensor in the Setup guide. If you have not taken all of these steps yet, the answer is almost certainly in there.

If you have gone through all these steps, but it's still not working, you may need to clean or replace the battery.

  1. Quit VirZOOM Arcade.
  2. Open VZ Sensor by gripping the tabs on the sides of the removable cap
  3. Remove the battery and clean it off.
  4. Replace the battery and close VZ Sensor.
  5. Affix VZ Sensor to the bike again, relaunch VirZOOM Arcade, and try again.

If this does not work, and you happen to use VZ Sensor on a PC, you can attempt to use our bike test program as described in our article on troubleshooting an unresponsive VZ Bike. If you don't use VZ Sensor on PC, however, it's possible you don't have the hardware to make a Bluetooth connection between a PC and your VZ Sensor. In this case, please contact us at support@virzoom.com and explain the steps you took.
