Sound doesn't play in games

Problem

You launch VirZOOM Arcade but have no audio.

Solution

First be sure that your speakers or headphones are properly powered and connected, your volume is up, and you do get audio from other applications. Barring these issues, if you use an Oculus Rift VR headset, you may be experiencing a known issue specific to that headset. Try the following:

  1. With your Oculus Rift plugged in, click on the Start menu in Windows, and choose SETTINGS.
  2. Type "sound" into that window's search box, and click the icon labeled SOUND.
  3. In the PLAYBACK tab, click once on "Oculus Rift."
  4. Click the SET DEFAULT button.
  5. Click OK.

You should now be able to restart VirZOOM arcade and hear sound properly while using your Oculus Rift.
